This programme juxtaposes composers from different countries and eras who express the search for self and meaning through sound and silence. Music alters our perception of time and space. Is silence truly silent? And does time flow continuously? Using diverse musical means, the composers approach the sensation of timelessness. This contemplation is complemented by texts from the four major world religions.
